Self-Care: Healthy Strategies for Sustaining Excellence

Self-Care: Healthy Strategies for Sustaining Excellence

Course Description

This course provides educators with strategies on how to take care of oneself to be their best selves for their students. These self care strategies for teachers are also designed to help avoid teacher burnout.

Course-designed strategies help educators take care of themselves in multiple aspects of their lives. Aspects include healthier habits for bringing work home, relationship maintenance, and more. The goal of this coursework is to equip educators with the means to identify and prioritize self care.

By forcing teachers to make time for themselves, educators become better equipped to serve their classrooms. With small changes to self care practices, everyone succeeds. Students get the support they need. And teachers can feel good about themselves and their profession while finding comfort inside and outside of the school day.

This course helps teachers stay invigorated about teaching. It also helps them continue to deepen their love for teaching through myriad benefits. This includes positive connections, better work-life balance, and more.

Practicing self care is important. When teachers engage in a healthy relationship with their profession, students can thrive. This course is designed as an active guide. With it, teachers can prioritize their mental and physical health inside and outside the classroom.
