📄 Renew My Missouri Teaching Certificate
Missouri teachers begin with either an Initial Professional Certificate (IPC) or an Initial Career Education Certificate (ICEC), both valid for 4 years. To upgrade to a Career Continuous Professional Certificate (CCPC) or Continuous Career Education Certificate (CCEC) — both valid for 99 years — you must complete a set of requirements during those 4 years. Once upgraded, the CCPC/CCEC requires only 15 contact hours of PD per year to maintain, equivalent to just 1 semester credit per year. Credits for Teachers graduate-level courses satisfy Missouri's PD requirements. Apply through the DESE Certification Account Portal.

The total program is 38 credits — 18 of which you complete through Credits for Teachers at just $131/credit, and 20 through CSU Pueblo. The total program cost is $11,764, a fraction of a traditional Master's program. In Missouri, earning a Master's degree moves you to the T03 lane on your district's salary schedule — which pays more at every step for the rest of your career.
