California Clear teaching credentials are valid for 5 years and must be renewed online through the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). The renewal process is handled entirely through CTC Online.

To renew your California Clear teaching credential, you must complete 150 clock hours of planned and approved professional growth activities and verify one-half year of teaching experience during the credential period. All Clear credentials must be renewed online through CTC Online at ctc.ca.gov. The renewal fee is paid at the time of submission.
