This course provides strategies to help students effectively integrate their course standards into their lessons in order to ensure their own students are learning the required standards. Through the development of a Standards Wall, students will take time to analyze their standards, make their standards known within the classroom, and help their own students towards mastery of those standards. Course Learning Objectives
Students will be able to:
- Students will be able to create a concept map for a Standards Wall within their classroom.
- Students will be able to analyze their curriculum’s standards and explain how to integrate those standards into their lessons.
- Students will make learners aware of the curriculum’s standards through the use of a Standards Wall and therefore increase student mastery of those standards.
- Students will develop skills to reflect on & improve their own teaching practices.
Relevancy to Practice: This course provides educators with the following relevant information to help improve their practice:
- Strategies to integrate content standards into lessons to ensure clear learning goals are established and therefore promote students’ understanding of the standards.
- Making the unit’s essential question and standards regularly visible in the classroom for students through the use of a Standards Wall.
- Increasing learners’ awareness of the content standards and helping learners towards mastery of those standards by posting and using the Standards Wall regularly in lessons.
- Becoming more familiar with your curriculum’s standards in order to know what you want your students to know in advance.
- Incorporating standards daily in every lesson so that students interact with the standards daily.
- Rewriting content standards into student friendly language to be posted in the classroom.
- Connecting the academic vocabulary within a unit to the unit’s standards in order to enhance mastery of the standards.

Exchange Policy
Students are able to exchange one course for another within 30 days of registration as long as the course price is the same and the student does not change the University Partner. Transfer Policy
Students that would like to transfer their course from one university partner to another have the opportunity to do so within the first 30 days of registering for a course. To transfer your course, please fill out the “Contact Us” form including your full name, the course you are currently registered for and the new University Partner you’d like to switch to.
